38 More Reasons to Be Happy

Here are more reasons why I’m having a good day:
  1. Everything I wrote yesterday is true today.
  2. Everything I wrote yesterday will probably be true tomorrow.
  3. Everything I write today was probably true yesterday and will probably be true tomorrow.
  4. I can exercise and that always makes me feel better.
  5. I don’t have to go far to see wonderful things.  In fact, I don’t even have to leave my place.
  6. I’ve had a very blessed life.
  7. At this moment I am relatively pain-free.
  8. Though it’s not always pleasant, I am always reminded of ways I can improve my life and myself.
  9. I can pray whenever I want.
  10. I can pray for anyone I want.
  11. I can love people as an act of the will, not just an emotion.
  12. I can create something new every day.
  13. There are colors all around me.
  14. I can breathe when I’m stressed.
  15. I can tap.
  16. I can smile for no reason.
  17. I can pray or ask for prayer.
  18. A quick nap can be a real treat.
  19. If I’m not happy, I can begin changing my life in an instant by deciding to do so.
  20. There are a lot of good books to read. 
  21. There are a lot of good movies to watch.
  22. There is a lot of good television to watch.
  23. There is a lot of good music.
  24. Because there are so many good choices, I don’t have to waste time with books, movies, television or music I don’t enjoy.
  25. No matter how difficult life seems sometimes, there is always someone who could use my help.
  26. There are also people who are able and willing to help me.
  27. Being positive and grateful are their own rewards and are absolutely free.
  28. I have clean running water.
  29. There are always ways to earn money.
  30. There is great joy in simplicity.
  31. Adding a little lemon to a cup of ice water can be a real treat.
  32. Self-discipline in one area often leads to self-discipline in other areas.
  33. Self-discipline in any area almost always leads to joy.
  34. There are always new things to learn.
  35. There is great freedom in not having to always be right.
  36. There is great freedom in not having to respond to criticism.
  37. I can still Get Started.
  38. I can still Keep Going.
